History of M.J. Hummel Figurines:

M.J. Hummel figurines were created by Berta Hummel, a German artist who lived from 1909 to 1946. Hummel was inspired by the children and villagers in her hometown of Massing, Bavaria. She created her figurines to capture the innocence and joy of childhood.

In 1935, Hummel began working with the Goebel Porcelain Manufactory to produce her figurines. Goebel was known for its high-quality craftsmanship, and Hummel's figurines quickly became popular all over the world.
